Bayside's Shudder landed at #52 on the charts this week with 11,072 copies sold.
Jack's Mannequin's The Glass Passenger debuted at #8 with 49k copies sold and Anberlin opened at #13 moving 36k of New Surrender.  T.I. grabbed the #1 spot, selling 568k copies of Paper Trail.
売上的にはこんなもんでしょう。
JM新作は個人的にあれはどうかと思うのですが・・・

Finch are writing new material for their next full length album.

コメント読んでみれば、Forgive Durdenなるバンドが
ゲストを大量に集めたアルバムを作っているようで、

Message From The Band

yo. so we just started working on the new record last week. we had to clean up the practice space a lot though. we haven't used it to write since last year. it's been all storage since then and let me tell you, it was crazy how much stuff we had in there that we actually use. we thought there was a lot of junk we could go through and chunk but no dice on that. so we did that all day tuesday then set up our gear for some good old fashioned jammin'. we worked through a couple songs last week which is pretty good for dusting off the cobwebs and starting over with new tunes. it takes a little bit to get back in the groove but we're there now so we're looking forward to knocking this thing out over the summer. we'll take some pics of the space and post them up here so you guys can check out what we've got going on. we'll also be starting to record some practices and get some new jams coming. i'll shoot out another update at the end of the week with our progress. hope all is well with you guys and gals.

These Arms Are Snakes have signed a deal with Suicide Squeeze Records. The band is heading into the studio on May 9th and plan to release a new record on October 7th.

The Get Go (ex-Mest, Allister, Showoff) have shot a video for their debut Japanese single "Face In The Dirt."  Their album Hello Again comes out in Japan tomorrow via Dynamord. The video was shot with director Benjamin Budzak and will be put up on their myspace soon.

ヤフーの影響力ってかなり大きいと思うのですよ。
そこに素人が適当なコメントをすべきではないような。

日本のテニス選手がだらしないのは仕様です。
ハングリー精神がないとか長い間色々といわれてますが、
お坊ちゃま、おじょうさま育ちが多い日本では、
一人で逆境を跳ね返せるだけの精神力を持つ人はほとんどいないでしょう。
僕も含めて。
松岡修三なんかはそこが日本人離れしてたんですよね。
（彼はちょうお坊ちゃまなんですが）
技術やテクニックは多分今の高校生の方が上です。
でも、彼は100位以内に入った。

技術面では
女子は現状、ヘンテコなフォームでも、
タイミング早く打てて、いいボール飛ばせて、それで入れば問題ない
（しゃらぽあなんか毎試合フォーム崩れてます）
ってのが今の世界だと思うので、
体系化した強化ってのは難しいんじゃないかなぁ。
と思います。

それでも、日本の女子は世界で強い方ですよ。
今回の結果は伊達があまりに強いだけです。

ホントしばらく音楽活動休止なのでしょうね。

前、どっかのバンドの人間が(確かMidtownのGabe氏だったような)
インタビューにて

メジャーデビューしたバンドが長く活動を続けるのは難しい、
なぜなら、沢山のお金が手に入るからなんだ

とかなんとか言ってましたが、
多分そのタイプなんでしょう。

で、その両極だな～と思ったこのバンドとCD

シーンの大御所New Found Gloryの準新作。
メジャーを通ってきたバンドとは思えないぐらい、
泥臭い音を、今現在やってますね。
この人たちは、ホント音楽・ハードコアが好きなんだな～と
聞いていて感じます。

ただしInternational Superheroes of Hardcoreは
NFGのギターとボーカルをそっくりそのまま入れ替えたものであります。
NFGはオリジナル新曲とカバー、ISHCは多分オリジナル新曲。

Two CD set. New Found Glory is an US pop-punk band that formed in 1997 in Coral Springs, Florida. This album on Bridge 9 Records containing both new material and covers of classic hardcore punk songs. Tip of the Iceberg comes with an extra disc of the band International Superheroes of Hardcore (ISHC), named Takin' It Ova!, which is New Found Glory with Chad on vocals and Jordan on Guitar. ISHC play hardcore punk in the vein of bands such as Mental, Outbreak & Righteous Jams.

今後の展開が凄く楽しみなニュースです。

昨日の
＞利用するする人が、
＞せっかくの技術を殺してることって
＞結構あるよなぁ・・・
というのにまんま当てはまる内容。

但し、僕は権利のあるものは削除に完全に賛成側。
理由は、著作物の利用に対価を払うことは、
ごくごく当たり前のことだから。

テレビは無料だから問題ない？
とんでもない！
私たちは民法にも沢山お金払ってます。
間接的ですけどね。

音楽・・・というより、
アメリカのインディーシーンでは、
インターネットの進歩により
一時的or一部の”ストリーミング”視聴という形で
知名度の低いバンドにも発表の機会が多くなり、
シーン全体が大きく躍進しました。

が、しかし、
音楽と動画は全く趣が異なるように思います。

音楽は何度も聞く（聞ける）もの。
動画が大抵の場合一度見れば十分なもの。

名曲は沢山あれど、
名動画とされるものは、ほとんどない。
（あっても映画ぐらい）

つまり、
音楽と動画では、
一つのコンテンツに対し、
ユーザが満足している時間の長さが
全く違うと思われます。

ので、
動画の場合、一時的なものであっても、
ストリーミングはコンテンツのプロモーションにはならない
と考えます。

というわけで、僕は著作権のある動画の削除に賛成です。

＞そんなことをしたら
＞ニコニコがつまらなくなる
だから楽しみなんです。

権利者とネット事業者の
新しい・うまい関係を築くことができるかどうか
大きく期待しています。

というか、
築くことができなければ、
ニコニコは潰れるだけです。
（著作権動画を放置した場合も、削除した場合も）

＞他のサイトに行けばいい
それは自由です。
が、動画コンテンツの配信には
莫大な設備投資と維持費を必要とします。
膨大なトラヒックに耐えられる設備を備え、
今後も順調にそれらに投資できそうなのは
Youtubeとニコニコぐらい。

最近S t a g e 6という動画サイトも潰れたようですし。
（日本やスペインからのトラヒックが多かったとか）

仮にニコニコから離れる人間が多く出たとして、
代わりのサイトを見つけては短期間で潰し
その代わりのサイトを見つけては短期間で潰し
の繰り返しになるんじゃないかな～と思います。
（ちょっと調べたところ、結構大丈夫かも？
と思えるシステムのサイトもありますが。）

現状、ニコニコやYoutubeあたりは
利用者から直接に多少のお金をとっても
断然安い（お値打ち・お買い得）サービスです。

だから、
利用者・ニコニコから権利者への
直接のお金の流れができないかな～
と少し期待してます。

それが実現できるのか、できないのか。
その実現にどのぐらいの時間を要するのか。
今後注目です。

開発陣は相当凄いことやってますが、
（開発や設備増強のペースがとんでもない）
事務的なことに関しては、
MIKU関連でえらいことしでかしてたりするので、
あんまり過度な期待はしませんけどね。

どうなるのかな？
と楽しみなだけです。

During tonight's AIM chat with Punchline, the band announced that their new album will be titled Just Say Yes.
レーベルが問題です。

The Scenic's (ex-Rory) debut EP is set for release in Japan on In N Out Records on April 16th and will include two bonus tracks; the EP is currently streaming in its entirety on purevolume.

向こうのバンドが日本で人気が出たところで、
バンドが得るものはお金だけ。

The Starting Line have a message for everyone. The band, manager, and other friends will be in this thread for a while answering questions. Please stop in to say "hi," ask a question, or just hang out for a little while.

Message From the Band

From all the east coast to west coast states, I want to feel the warmth from the buzz that I create. But I'm really not too sure, if it's ever gonna happen, but I know that I'm not too concerned.

Imagine getting your first job when you were 15 years old and doing that exact same job for the rest of your life. Even if it’s the dream job that most people would kill for, eventually you need to stop for a minute and see what else is out there.

This is one of the most difficult decisions we’ve had to make but after eight years of nonstop touring and recording The Starting Line will be taking a break after their headline tour with Bayside, Four Year Strong and Steel Train (March 18 – April 20) and the college shows following the tour. This break does NOT mean the band is breaking up or going on hiatus it just means were going to stop for a little while and focus on other things in our lives besides The Starting Line. This break may last a year, two years or a few months, as of right now we don’t know. We’re talking to some friends about doing a quick tour to South America as well as options to tour Europe, Japan and Australia again and we're not ruling them out. We just aren’t going to be doing any full time touring or recording as The Starting Line for a while.

We’ve had our ups and downs with countless record labels (We The People, Drive-Thru, MCA, Geffen, Virgin and finally The Capitol Music Group) over the years and every time we thought we had the right team a label president would be fired, or our label would be taken over by a new company. At each of these places there were people who loved us and would do anything for us and others (usually the ones making the financial decisions) that just didn’t give a shit about our band and after going through this for such a long time we need to take a step back and figure out what’s next for The Starting Line.

Before we go we have one last tour to say goodbye to everyone and we’re working with our friends at pickRset to make this best tour ever. Head over to here and pick the songs you want to hear on this tour and we will do our best to play as many of them each night on the tour.

This is not an end but a new beginning, to celebrate this new beginning we have a some exciting news to share with everyone. Sometime this summer or early fall we plan to finally release the unreleased record that we recorded for We The People Records. We are also talking about putting together a DVD to go with the record that will chronicle the Drive Thru years. We have tons of tapes to find and dig through and interviews to do with everyone to properly document that part of our lives but we think we can have it ready by the summer.

Everyone in the band will still be busy so you won’t be able to get rid of us that easily.

Kenny just finished recording the debut record for his band Person L, expect to see a release plan and tour announced soon, rumor has it he may even make an appearance at this year’s Bonnaroo. You will also get to see the most recent addition to the Starting Line, Brian Schmutz in Person L’s touring band. If you want to check out some tunes from the L peep check them out here.

Matt and Tom have been working on a new project with some friends, called The Seventy Six, and just happened to put up a myspace page today with some songs and videos. The sound of the band may come as a shock to some of you, in the best possible way. Please show your love and support and check it out. They have some big plans in the works and plan on announcing them as soon as they can.

Mike and one of his close friends will be starting a company that we will tell you all about once all the I’s are dotted and the T’s are crossed. Of course he has a band he’s going to be jamming with as well and when we have more to report on that we’ll let you know. Most importantly Mike will be making up some lost time with his beautiful daughters. He's missed many a milestone and is looking forward to some much needed bonding time with his little girls.

Announcements like this are so hard for everyone, especially the band, and we want to make sure we didn’t leave out any information, so we’re going to stick around for the next hour or so and answer as many questions as possible.

We’ve invited many of our friends who have worked with us over the years to post in this conversation too because after many years working together some of them are just as much a part of The Starting Line as we are.

The Starting Line To Hold Online Press Conference

The Starting Line will be holding an online press conference right here on AP.net next Wednesday (March 5th) to address the rumors about their future. The band will be making a major announcement and then the entire band, their manager, and other relevant parties will be sticking around to answer everyone's questions. Panic at the Disco have posted their single "Nine in the Afternoon" on their myspace. Their new album Pretty. Odd. hits stores on March 25th

そしてとってもお金のかかったアレンジ。

DecaydanceってFBRの下部レーベルなので、
FBRがセミメジャーに昇格したとはいえ
そこまで裕福でもない感じがしますが・・・
まぁ、前作がバカ売れしたみたいなので、
そっちからお金が回ってきてるのかな？

とにかく、
これにピンとこないんですよねぇ・・・
基本的にFBR系は好きでないのです。
嫌いというわけでもないんですが。

なんか、聞くところが少ないんですよねぇ。FBR系は。
例外としてAcademy is...は好きですが。
